Today begins the hunt for my car, and already i am tired of searching...

My search brought me to westfield once i got my car back. Rob is sure now it's the head gasket. "Musta been that time you had it towed when that head gasket cracked. You still have some time though, usually when it really starts to go you get so much white smoke out your exhaust system that you can't see behind you." This was optimism, something he hasn't started to have until i decided no more money into that car except for gas.
I drove that red saturn today, which was indeed an odd experience. The sales guy was nice, but he got to the point toward the end w/his boss of talking with my dad about my brother for a 1/2 hour(something i hate). Luckily it doesn't work on my dad, he knows it offends me when i'm buying the car, i'm paying for it with my money and they talk about something that i couldn't give two shits about. You bro drives a saturn so should you! yeah, fuck it. As for the car itself, i found a few flaws, dents, and cracks, and the oil was dirty. they wanted about 4400, maybe down to 4000. We're trying to get it below $4000, i like the car, but it's only the first one i've looked at. i haven't yet decided if i want it. it's mighty powerful, but at the same time i'm holding a high standard cuz of my little bastard. The car actually has ac and a cd player so it's not even ghetto. But i need to think about it because $4000 is a little much for a 7 year old car that's got some dings and things. It was odd that they rarely seemed to talk to me, but i think i may need to keep looking. Dad likes the car too, but we both are concerned mostly about the price among other things. I can put $100 down on it, a teacher bargain they told me, but as of now, i am still on the fence about the car. It would be more about getting used to it than driving it. I also forgot to mention the guy at the dealership laughed at my car. I suppose it was expected. His comparisons sucked. Old dogs should not be compared to old cars.

why pay $4000 for a small car that's 7 years old that's got problems if i can find one just as good that i can get a good car loan for(i can't for a 1999)from the bank? That's why i have to be picky. plus if i can get them below $4000(they're charging above book value now) then it'll rock. It's all about haggling.
